Add Ministries to Your Church Website

The Ministries section helps visitors discover the groups, programs, and opportunities available through your church.

1. Open the Website module

1. Sign in to BlessChurch.
2. Select Website from the application menu.
3. Open the Ministries settings or page configuration.

2. Add a ministry

1. Select the option to add a ministry.
2. Enter a clear ministry name.
3. Add a short description.
4. Add any available contact or destination information.
5. Save the ministry.

3. Write a useful description

A good description should quickly explain:

• Who the ministry serves
• What participants can expect
• When or how the ministry meets
• How someone can learn more

Keep the summary short enough to work well inside a website card.

Description example

Our Youth Ministry helps students grow in their faith, build healthy friendships, and serve their community through weekly gatherings and special activities.

4. Use clear ministry names

Visitors should understand the ministry without already knowing your church’s internal terminology.

For example, a title such as Youth Ministry is clearer to a new visitor than an unexplained abbreviation.

5. Add contact information carefully

If you provide a ministry contact, use an official church email address or approved public contact method whenever possible.

Do not publish a volunteer’s private phone number or personal email without permission.

6. Review the public Ministries section

After saving, open the public website and confirm:

• The ministry appears in the correct language.
• The name is readable.
• The description is not too long.
• The link opens the expected page.
• The layout works on desktop and mobile.

7. Ministries that are not configured

BlessChurch does not need to display empty ministry cards. Add only ministries that the church currently offers and is prepared to support publicly.

8. Keep ministry information current

Review the section whenever leaders, meeting schedules, contact information, or ministry availability change.

Remove or update ministries that are temporarily inactive so visitors do not receive outdated information.

Privacy and child safety

• Do not publish private information about children or youth.
• Obtain appropriate permission before using identifiable photographs.
• Use official church contact methods for questions and registration.
• Avoid publicly listing detailed schedules that could create a safety concern.

Helpful tip

Begin with the church’s most active ministries. A smaller list with accurate information is more useful than a large list of outdated programs.
