    Connect YouTube Live with a Permanent Channel URL

    Connect your church’s YouTube channel once and allow BlessChurch to display the active livestream automatically. With a permanent channel URL, you do not need to replace the video link every week.

    Before you begin

    You will need:

    • Access to your church’s YouTube channel.
    • Livestreaming enabled on the channel.
    • The channel ID beginning with UC.
    • Access to the Website module in BlessChurch.

    1. Find your YouTube Channel ID

    1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
    2. Open Settings.
    3. Select Channel.
    4. Open Advanced settings.
    5. Copy the value shown under Channel ID.

    A YouTube Channel ID usually begins with UC.

    2. Create the permanent livestream URL

    Replace CHANNEL_ID in the following address:

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/CHANNEL_ID/live

    For example:

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/live

    Do not use a URL containing only the channel’s @handle. BlessChurch needs the permanent channel ID URL.

    3. Add the URL to BlessChurch

    1. Sign in to BlessChurch.
    2. Open Website.
    3. Go to the Home settings.
    4. Find the Watch Live section.
    5. Enable Watch Live.
    6. Select YouTube as the streaming provider.
    7. Paste the permanent channel URL into YouTube Live URL.
    8. Save your changes.

    What happens next?

    When your church starts a public livestream on YouTube, BlessChurch will display it automatically in the Watch Live section. The same URL can remain saved for future services.

    When the channel is not live, YouTube may display an unavailable or offline message inside the player. This is expected.

    Using YouTube and Facebook together

    BlessChurch can store public destinations for YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, and an additional livestream provider. These are public viewing URLs—not private stream keys.

    To send the same service to YouTube and Facebook, your church can use a multistreaming service such as Restream or configure multiple RTMP outputs in OBS.

    Important security note

    Never paste a YouTube, Facebook, OBS, or Restream stream key into BlessChurch. Stream keys are private credentials. BlessChurch only requires the public viewing URL.
