    Stream to YouTube and Facebook

    BlessChurch can display public livestreams from YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, and another supported provider on your church website.

    Understand the difference

    BlessChurch displays the public viewing destination of your stream. It does not receive the private stream directly from your camera or broadcasting software.

    • Public viewing URL: The address visitors use to watch the service.
    • Stream key: A private credential used by OBS, a hardware encoder, or a multistreaming service.

    Never enter a private stream key into BlessChurch.

    1. Prepare your broadcast

    Your church can send its video using:

    • OBS Studio
    • A hardware video encoder
    • Restream or another multistreaming service
    • A mobile broadcasting application

    2. Configure YouTube

    1. Enable livestreaming on the church’s YouTube channel.
    2. Open YouTube Studio and create or schedule the livestream.
    3. Configure OBS or your encoder using the private information provided by YouTube.
    4. In BlessChurch, save the channel’s permanent public livestream URL.

    The recommended permanent format is:

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/CHANNEL_ID/live

    Replace CHANNEL_ID with the channel ID that begins with UC.

    3. Configure Facebook

    1. Open the church’s Facebook Page.
    2. Create or schedule a live video.
    3. Configure the broadcast using Facebook’s secure stream settings.
    4. Copy the public Facebook viewing URL.
    5. Add that URL to the Facebook field in BlessChurch.

    Facebook live URLs may depend on the scheduled broadcast. Confirm the public link before each service if Facebook does not provide a stable destination for the Page.

    4. Stream to both platforms

    To broadcast the same service to YouTube and Facebook simultaneously, use either:

    • A multistreaming provider such as Restream
    • Multiple RTMP outputs supported by your broadcasting setup

    Your private platform stream keys remain inside OBS, the encoder, or the multistreaming provider. BlessChurch only needs the public viewing URLs.

    5. Add the destinations to BlessChurch

    1. Sign in to BlessChurch.
    2. Open Website.
    3. Open the Home settings.
    4. Find the Watch Live section.
    5. Enable the section.
    6. Add the public YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, or custom URLs.
    7. Save your changes.

    6. Test before the service

    Perform a private or unlisted test when possible. Verify:

    • Video and audio are synchronized
    • The correct stream appears on the website
    • The YouTube and Facebook buttons open the correct destinations
    • The player works on desktop and mobile
    • The internet upload speed is stable

    If the player says the video is unavailable

    This can happen when the channel is offline, the broadcast is private, embedding is disabled, or the saved URL points to an old video.

    Confirm that the broadcast is public and that the correct permanent or current public URL is saved.

    Security requirements

    • Never publish or share stream keys.
    • Never place stream keys in screenshots or documentation.
    • Regenerate a key immediately if it is exposed.
    • Enable two-factor authentication on YouTube, Facebook, and multistreaming accounts.
    • Limit administrative access to authorized media team members.

    Helpful tip

    Use the permanent YouTube channel livestream URL whenever possible. It allows BlessChurch to display the active public broadcast without replacing the video URL every week.
