BlessChurch Launch Checklist

Use this checklist before inviting your church team, accepting online donations, or sharing the public church website.

1. Church account

  • Confirm the official church name.
  • Upload the official logo.
  • Select the primary and secondary colors.
  • Confirm the church timezone.
  • Review the public phone number and email.
  • Confirm the physical address.
  • Add the regular service times.

2. Administrator security

  • Every team member uses an individual account.
  • No passwords are shared.
  • Administrative access is limited to authorized leaders.
  • Former team members no longer have access.
  • Email accounts associated with administrators are protected.

3. Team and permissions

  • Invite the team members who need access.
  • Assign only the permissions required for each responsibility.
  • Review access to Members, Give, Billing, Settings, and Team.
  • Confirm that invitations were accepted.

4. Members

  • Review member names and contact information.
  • Remove duplicate records.
  • Confirm that confidential information is not stored in general fields.
  • Review privacy procedures before enabling any public directory.

5. Events and Calendar

  • Add upcoming events.
  • Configure recurring services and activities.
  • Review dates, times, locations, and timezone.
  • Check the Calendar for conflicts.
  • Confirm public events appear on the website.

6. Public website

  • Upload the Hero image.
  • Upload the Welcome image.
  • Review the headline and introductory text.
  • Confirm the church logo is readable.
  • Add active ministries.
  • Review the Events section.
  • Configure Watch Live.
  • Configure the Give button or section.
  • Review the Visit information.
  • Test the footer links and social profiles.

7. Mobile review

  • Test the website on a phone.
  • Open the navigation menu.
  • Confirm that headings are not cut off.
  • Review image cropping.
  • Test buttons and forms.
  • Confirm that phone numbers and directions are usable.

8. Livestreaming

  • Add the permanent YouTube channel livestream URL when available.
  • Add the public Facebook, Vimeo, or custom viewing URLs.
  • Never enter private stream keys into BlessChurch.
  • Test the player before the first public service.
  • Confirm that external platform buttons open correctly.

9. Online giving

  • Complete Stripe onboarding.
  • Confirm that Stripe shows as connected.
  • Create and review giving funds.
  • Check the church name and logo on the giving page.
  • Perform a small authorized test donation.
  • Confirm the receipt and destination bank account.
  • Enable two-factor authentication on Stripe.

10. Billing

  • Confirm the BlessChurch subscription status.
  • Verify the billing email.
  • Review plan limits.
  • Confirm that an authorized administrator can access Billing.

11. Final public test

Open the church website in a private browser window while signed out of BlessChurch.

  • Test every navigation link.
  • Test every call-to-action button.
  • Open the Events page.
  • Open the Ministries page.
  • Test Watch Live.
  • Test the Give destination.
  • Open directions and contact links.
  • Check English and Spanish content when both are used.

12. Prepare your team

Tell team members who is responsible for:

  • Updating events
  • Maintaining member information
  • Managing the website
  • Reviewing donations
  • Operating livestreams
  • Submitting support tickets

Launch recommendation

Complete one final review with at least two authorized leaders. One person should test from a computer and another from a mobile phone.
