Configure Your Church Settings and Identity
Church Settings contains the core information BlessChurch uses throughout your account and public website.
Why these settings matter
Your church name, logo, colors, address, timezone, contact details, and social links can be reused across different BlessChurch modules. Keeping them accurate reduces duplicated work and prevents inconsistent information.
1. Open Settings
- Sign in to BlessChurch.
- Select Settings from the application menu.
- Open the section containing your church profile and identity.
2. Enter the church name
Use the official public name of the church. This name may appear in the application, website header, footer, emails, and other public areas.
Avoid entering internal abbreviations unless they are part of the church’s public identity.
3. Upload the official logo
Upload a clear, high-quality version of the official church logo.
- Use PNG or SVG when supported.
- A transparent background normally works best.
- Leave enough space around the logo.
- Avoid uploading a screenshot of the logo.
- Confirm that small text remains readable.
4. Select the brand colors
Choose the primary and secondary colors used by the church. BlessChurch can apply these colors to buttons, links, accents, and sections of the public website.
Use colors with enough contrast to keep text and buttons accessible.
5. Add the address
Enter the address visitors should use to attend the church. Review the street number, unit, city, state or region, postal code, and country.
This information may be used for directions and public visit information.
6. Configure the timezone
Select the timezone where the church is physically located. The timezone affects events, calendars, service schedules, and other date-based information.
An incorrect timezone can cause events to appear at the wrong time or on the wrong date.
7. Add contact information
Enter the public phone number and email address the church wants visitors to use.
Avoid publishing a private personal address unless that is intentionally the church’s official contact.
8. Add service times
Enter the regular worship or meeting schedule. Keep the format simple and clear.
Example:
Sunday Worship · 11:00 AM
Wednesday Bible Study · 7:00 PM
9. Add social media links
Use the complete public URL for each church profile, including https://.
Open every link after saving to confirm that it directs visitors to the correct page or channel.
10. Add the giving URL
If the church has a public online giving page, add its complete secure URL. This can be used by the Give buttons on the website.
Only enter a public donor-facing URL. Never enter Stripe secret keys or private financial credentials.
11. Save and review
- Save the Settings form.
- Refresh the page and confirm the information was stored.
- Open the public church website.
- Review the header, footer, Visit section, service information, and social links.
- Test the desktop and mobile versions.
Who should manage Settings?
Access should be limited to authorized administrators because changes can affect the entire church account and public website.
Helpful tip
Review Church Settings at least every three months and whenever the church changes its schedule, address, phone number, logo, leadership contact, or social profiles.
