Invite Your Team and Manage Permissions

BlessChurch allows authorized church leaders to give team members access without sharing the main account credentials.

Why individual accounts matter

Every person who works in BlessChurch should use an individual account. This makes access easier to manage and protects the church when responsibilities change.

1. Open the Team module

  1. Sign in to BlessChurch.
  2. Select Team from the application menu.
  3. Review the users who currently have access to the church account.

2. Invite a team member

  1. Select the option to add or invite a team member.
  2. Enter the person’s name and email address.
  3. Select the appropriate role or permissions.
  4. Review the access before sending the invitation.
  5. Send the invitation.

The invited person should use their own email address and create their own password.

3. Assign only the access they need

Use the principle of least privilege: give each person access only to the modules and actions required for their ministry responsibilities.

Examples may include:

  • Website administrators managing public content
  • Event coordinators managing events and calendars
  • Membership leaders managing member records
  • Finance leaders reviewing giving information
  • Church administrators managing settings and billing

4. Review sensitive permissions

Access to financial information, member records, billing, church settings, and team administration should be limited to specifically authorized leaders.

Before granting administrative access, confirm the person’s responsibilities with church leadership.

5. Update a team member’s access

  1. Open the Team module.
  2. Select the team member.
  3. Review their current role and permissions.
  4. Make the necessary changes.
  5. Save the updated access.

6. Remove access

Remove or disable access promptly when someone leaves the team or no longer needs BlessChurch for their responsibilities.

Do not reuse or transfer a former team member’s account to another person.

7. Account security

  • Never share passwords between team members.
  • Use a strong, unique password for BlessChurch.
  • Protect the email account associated with each user.
  • Sign out on shared or public computers.
  • Review the Team list regularly.

Premium access

Team management availability may depend on your church’s BlessChurch subscription. If the module displays an upgrade option, an authorized administrator can review the available plan under Billing.

Troubleshooting invitations

If the invitation does not arrive, verify the email address and ask the recipient to check their spam or junk folder. If necessary, resend the invitation instead of creating a duplicate user.

Helpful tip

Review team access whenever ministry responsibilities change. A short quarterly access review helps protect member and financial information.
