Use the Church Calendar
The BlessChurch Calendar gives your team a visual overview of scheduled church events and recurring activities.
1. Open the Calendar
- Sign in to BlessChurch.
- Select Calendar from the application menu.
- Navigate to the month or date you want to review.
2. Understand where calendar entries come from
The Calendar is connected to the Events module. Events and recurring occurrences created there can appear automatically on the Calendar.
To change an event’s core information, open the related event rather than trying to create a separate duplicate entry.
3. Navigate between dates
Use the available calendar controls to:
- Move to the previous or next period
- Return to the current date
- Review upcoming activities
- Open an event for more information
4. Review an event
Select an event on the Calendar to review its available details, which may include:
- Title
- Date
- Start and end time
- Location
- Recurring status
- Additional event information
5. Watch for scheduling conflicts
Before creating a new event, review the Calendar for:
- Events at the same time
- Room or facility conflicts
- Overlapping ministry activities
- Special services or holidays
- Recurring schedules already using the date
6. Work with recurring events
A recurring event may create multiple occurrences on the Calendar from one event record.
If only one date changes, modify that occurrence using an exception instead of changing the complete recurring series.
7. Verify the church timezone
The Calendar uses the church timezone configured in Settings. If events appear at the wrong hour or date, review the timezone before editing every event.
8. If an event does not appear
Confirm:
- The event has a valid date.
- Its status allows it to be scheduled.
- The date falls inside the period currently displayed.
- The recurring schedule has not ended.
- The occurrence was not canceled by an exception.
- You are viewing the correct church account.
9. Calendar and public website
The internal Calendar helps your team plan activities. The public Events page displays upcoming events intended for website visitors.
Always review the public page after adding or changing an event that should be visible online.
Planning recommendations
- Use consistent event names.
- Add a location even when the event meets at the church.
- Include start and end times when known.
- Use recurrence for regular schedules.
- Review the next 30 to 90 days with ministry leaders.
Helpful tip
Use the Calendar as the church’s shared scheduling reference. Confirm dates there before publishing flyers, social posts, or announcements.
